The Myth of the Super Woman

This is a minor myth in Western culture, where women try to maintain their traditional roles as mother, wife and head of household, while competing in the professional world, in pursuit of social success.

This myth channels the rebellion of Western women after millennia of subjugation. This rebellion has been possible thanks to the long struggle for the emancipation of women from the eighteenth century until today. Similarly, the delusion of the West, and the fall of fundamental beliefs of this society, provided the possibility of directing social behaviors that previously would have been impossible to think.

Unfortunately, being included in the Olympus of the god money, this myth does not generate new alternatives for women in rebellion, but it incorporates the traditional male and female roles, becoming a heavy burden on those who tried to go after this powerful image. This is therefore an attempt to release it in the eagerness to overcome the conditions of origin, getting caught in a new gender violence causing again suffering.
